A Litmus Test for SaaS

Getting their arms around software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions once again ranks as a top-three priority for CIOs, according to Gartner’s most recent CIO survey. Some are even suggesting 2012 will be a year of “explosive” growth for SaaS and cloud computing. Whatever the growth rate, the prospect of moving core applications to the cloud is a hot topics for a lot of companies.

The benefits of SaaS look very promising – users can be up and running in hours or days instead of weeks or months and at a cost that is substantially less than traditional software models – but detractors continue to point to presumed risks around security, integration and other areas as reason to delay rollouts. The debate has left a … well, cloud … of uncertainty in the minds of many executives, particularly when financial or other government-regulated data is involved.

That’s why Domo created “An Executive’s Guide to SaaS,” which explores four key questions every executive should ask as they contemplate a move to a SaaS solution. Download the brief and see what makes sense for your company. And as always, we’d love to hear your thoughts…
