Heritage Action Lobbies for Trump Nominees in Senate, Launching Ad Campaign and Petition

Advocacy organization Heritage Action for America is aggressively lobbying for the confirmation of Donald Trump’s nominees in the Senate, launching an ad campaign and a petition to urge senators to act.

As part of this effort, Heritage Action will air a 30-second TV spot on Fox News Inauguration Day that highlights the shortcomings of the Biden administration, while pressing for Trump’s nominees to be confirmed to address these issues.

“There’s no time to waste on Washington games,” says the spot’s female narrator as images of Democrat senators flash across the screen. “We. Must. Fight. Americans elected President Donald J. Trump to stand in the breach. He’s already hard at work. If we’re going to fight and win, we’ve got work to do. Confirm Trump’s Cabinet now.”

The Fox ad buy is part of a larger advertising effort by Heritage Action to mobilize public support for the nominees’ confirmation. On Wednesday, Heritage Ation spent $300,000 on digital ad buys for the spot.

The advocacy organization has also released a petition closing Sunday to gather 100,000 signatures urging lawmakers to confirm Trump’s nominees. 

Support for conservative nominees has long been a part of Heritage Action’s advocacy in Washington. In 2018, Heritage Action spent millions on ad buys in support of Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination, urging voters to demand that politicians confirm his nomination.
